Where To Get An Amtrak Promotion CodeAmtrak promotion codes can be found at the Amtrak website and at other websites that specialized in offering promo codes and discount coupons to customers.

How To Redeem The Promo Codes

Amtrak promotion codes can be redeemed online via the Amtrak web site. They can also be redeemed over the phone by calling 800-USA-RAIL, at any Amtrak station, or with any Quik-Trak machine. Note that there are some promo codes that can only be redeemed online or over the phone. To redeem the code online, go to Amtrak.com, select your desired train and route, and key in the code (four characters) in the field for Promotion Code.

What Are The Restrictions Of The Promo Codes? The promo codes apply to adult, child, and senior fares only and cannot be combined with any other discounts. It also excludes Acela Express, and cannot be used during peak travel periods. Amtrak also puts a limit to the number of seats that are available for the promo codes. If you receive an error when trying to redeem a code, it is more than likely that the train you are trying to redeem a code for has run out of seats for promo code users. Trains that are close to being sold-out would also have a higher likelihood of being unavailable for promo code use. There are also some coupon codes that require membership or eligibility. In order to avoid delay or missed connections, it is advised that you confirm your eligibility before booking a reservation.

Classes Of Service

Amtrak has classes similar to those used by airlines. There are four classes: first class, business class, coach class, and sleeper service. First class service is currently offered in the Acela Express only. Seats are larger than the business class section. First class of course offers more amenities and greater comforts such as club lounges, complimentary meals, beverage service, free newspapers and hot towel service. Business class is a step down from first class but still have access to free newspapers and beverage service. Passengers also have access to a café car. The sleeper service is considered first class and differs only in that these cars provide rooms instead of seats. This service provides complimentary meals, attendant service, and the other amenities provided in a first class car. Coach class is the standard class service on most Amtrak trains and is considered the class service of the masses. All ticketed passengers in coach class are guaranteed a seat, although seats are not assigned.
